Katzmancraft is a private Minecraft server. I considered making a Discord to discuss and showcase topics surrounding the community, but in the spirit of capturing the nostalgia of old Minecraft I decided to make a website instead.
Playing is reserved for friends and friends of friends.
History
I’ve been listening to Theo Katzman for the better part of a decade. He makes really good music!
As a child, I played Minecraft all the time with my brother. We grew up in LA and he moved to NY in 2013. I created a Minecraft server for us to play on and it was an awesome way to spend time with him and have fun. That lasted a couple years and then faded away once I went to high school.
I went to college in 2019 and COVID unfolded in 2020–during which I created another server for us to play on while we quarantined.
At the time, I was super into Vulfpeck and Theo Katzman. I met people in college who also adored them. So, in 2020 I created another Minecraft server for my brother and I to play on and named it after Theo.
Fast forward to 2025, and I realized something sad–all of the servers I’ve ever played on have either disappeared or gone offline, including all of the ones I’ve made, save for that one in 2020. Servers spawn and die almost constantly like stars in a distant constellation.
I wanted to create something that would last forever, like Theo Katzman’s music. So I created one last Minecraft server to exist until the end of time and based it off of that server I made in 2020.
